Mario Chigul Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash on Westheimer Road

Houston, Texas (December 8, 2020) – The man who was injured last month in a pedestrian accident in Houston has died, according to police.

Mario Chigul, 58, succumbed to his injuries on December 3.

The accident occurred around 10:25 p.m., November 30, in the 6500 block of Westheimer Road.

Police said Chigul was attempting to cross the roadway, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by a black Honda Accord.

Chigul was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he died on Thursday, December 3.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The police are investigating the crash.
