Mark Burrow Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Winters Freeway in Abilene

Mark Burrow Killed in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Winters Freeway

Abilene, Texas (May 1, 2021) – A man was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Abilene, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:45 a.m. on Winters Freeway.

Police said Nicholas Mills, 30, of Abilene, was driving when he struck Mark Burrow, 24, of Lubbock.

Mills left the scene and called the police on his way to a house.

Burrow was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mills was later arrested and charged with a second-degree felony intoxicated manslaughter and second-degree felony failure to stop and render aid.

The police are investigating the crash.
