Mauro Carrasco Mota ID’d as Man Killed in East Austin Pedestrian Accident on Airport Boulevard 

Austin, Texas (January 10, 2020) – The man who was killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday night in East Austin has been identified as Mauro Carrasco Mota,61, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on January 8, in the 1100 block of Airport Boulevard.

Police said Mota was crossing the road from westbound to the eastbound curb line when he was hit by a northbound 2014 silver Ford Focus. Mota was then hit by a blue Toyota Tacoma that was traveling behind the Focus.

Mota was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

An investigation is underway.
