Maxey Bass Killed in Leander Pedestrian Accident on Crystal Falls Parkway at Southwest Drive

Leander, Texas (March 10, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night in Leander has been identified as Maxey Bass, 65, of Leander, police said.
The horrific accident happened at about 7:15 p.m. Friday, March 8 on Crystal Falls Parkway at Southwest Drive.
According to the police, Bass was walking southbound on Crystal Falls Parkway at Southwest Drive when he attempted to cross an area that was not well lit and was not marked as a crosswalk.
Police said a 2005 Pontiac then hit Bass.
Bass was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Pontiac remained at the scene and complied with police.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
