Mia and Mya Coy ID’d as Twins Killed in Odessa Pedestrian Crash on Business 20 and Club Drive

Odessa, Texas (July 6, 2019) – The two twin girls who were struck and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday night in Odessa have been identified as 6-year-olds Mia and Mya Coy of Odessa, according to a local news source.

The incident took place on Business 20 and Club Drive on Wednesday, July 3.

Police said Mia and Mya were standing near their family’s fireworks stand at a field when they were hit by a gray Chrysler 200 driven by Angelica Garcia, 36, of Midland.

Both girls sustained major injuries and were transported to Medical Center Hospital, where they were sadly pronounced deceased.

Police arrested Garcia on charges of intoxication manslaughter.

The crash is under investigation.
