Michael Burge Killed in Head-On Crash on SH 3 in La Marque

Michael Burge Killed in La Marque Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 3 near SH 146

La Marque, Texas (December 22, 2021) – One person was killed Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in La Marque, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:45 a.m., December 21, in the 4000 block of State Highway 3 near the interchange with State Highway 146.

Police said two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they collided head-on.

Both drivers sustained injuries in the crash. One of them was airlifted to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he later died. He has been identified as Michael Burge, 21, of Dickinson.

The other driver was taken to a local hospital and showed signs of intoxication.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
