Miguel Fonseca Arrested in Fatal El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 375

El Paso, Texas (September 14, 2021) – According to the police, a 69-year-old man was killed Monday night in a rollover crash in El Paso.

The fatal crash happened on September 6, on Loop 375 near the Iron Medics exit.

Police said Miguel Josue Fonseca, 42, of El Paso, was driving a 2006 Cadillac DTS northbound at a high rate of speed when he swerved and rear-ended a 2004 Ford Mustang driven by Francisco Garcia, 69.

The force of the impact caused the Mustang to travel down an embankment and rollover.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fonseca was taken to Del Sol Medical Center with serious injuries. He was arrested after being released from the hospital on Sunday and was booked into the El Paso County Jail with his bond set at $750,000. He has been charged with murder.

Investigators said speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statutes which were violated.
