Miguel Talmantes ID’d as Man Killed in Hudspeth County Car Accident on U.S. Highway 62/180
Hudspeth County, Texas (January 15, 2019) – The man who was killed early Monday morning in a wrong-way crash that injured one person in Hudspeth County has been identified as Miguel Angel Talmantes, 19, of El Paso, according to authorities.
The deadly accident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. Monday, January 14 on U.S. Highway 62/180, just 22 miles East of El Paso.
Authorities said Talmantes, was driving his 2007 Ford Taurus on the wrong side of the road when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2014 Toyota Tundra pickup truck operated by Edgar Edwardo Nava, 37, of Anthony.
Talmantes was declared dead at the scene. Nava was transported to Del Sol Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
No further details were immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
