Minor Injuries Reported in Riviera Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 77

Riviera, Texas (June 1, 2019) – Minor injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash Friday morning on a Riviera highway, according to the troopers.

The crash happened just before 6 a.m. May 31, on Highway 77.

Authorities said an 18-wheeler was heading southbound when it clipped a car. The impact caused the tire of the 18-wheeler to a blowout. The driver of the 18-wheeler then lost control and crashed head-on into a white car before rolling over.

Another nearby vehicle attempted to swerve to avoid the accident and ended up in a ditch.

Troopers said only minor injuries were sustained in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
