Dallas, Texas (January 20, 2020) – A man on a moped was killed early Monday morning in a suspected DUI crash in Dallas, according to the police.

The crash happened in the 6000 block of North Central Expressway

Police said the man was riding a moped when he was hit by a car driven by Illiane Quevedo Meza. The impact ejected the man off the moped into traffic.

Meza fled the scene without rendering aid.

As the victim was lying on the roadway, he was run over by another vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Grand Prairie driver. That driver remained at the scene.

The moped driver was declared dead at the scene.

Meza was later located and arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and failure to stop and render aid.

The crash remains under investigation.
