Police Officer Injured in College Station Motorcycle Crash on Wellborn Road near Holleman Road

College Station, Texas (July 8, 2020) – A motorcycle police officer was injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic collision in College Station, according to police.

The crash happened at about 3:36 p.m. on July 7, on Wellborn Road, just north of Holleman Road.

Police said a silver SUV was traveling northbound in the outside lane of Wellborn Road when it began moving into the inside lane and struck a CSPD police motorcycle which was traveling in the inside lane.

The impact caused the motorcycle to fall onto its side.

The officer sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The SUV driver was uninjured and was cited for Unsafe Lane Change.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
