Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash on Clay Road in Katy

One Critically Injured in Katy Motorcycle Accident on Clay Road

Katy, Texas (March 27, 2021) – According to a local news source, a motorcyclist was critically injured Friday night in a traffic accident in Katy.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m., March 26, in the 19500 block of Clay Road.

Deputies said a motorcycle crashed into the driver’s side of a pickup truck that was leaving a parking lot and was attempting to make a U-turn at the intersection.

Investigators said the motorcyclist braked in an attempt to avoid the crash but was not successful.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

The condition of the pickup driver was not disclosed.

Speed and intoxication were not factors in the crash, according to the investigators.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
