Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on U.S. 290 Frontage Road in Austin

Man Killed in Austin Motorcycle Accident on E. U.S. Highway 290

Austin, Texas (September 14, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision Friday morning in Austin, a local news source reported.

The crash was reported around 8:45 a.m. September 13, in the 10180 block of E. U.S. Highway 290 on the westbound service road.

Police said a white pickup truck and a motorcycle were heading westbound when the pickup made an improper turn and collided with the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man in his mid-40s, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The pickup driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.

Traffic was diverted onto Parmer Lane.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The crash remains under investigation.
