Montgomery County, Texas (November 10, 2022) – According to the authorities, a man in his 40s was killed Wednesday evening in a motorcycle crash in Montgomery County.

The fatal crash happened around 6:08 p.m., November 9, on Crockett Martin Road, just north of FM 2090.

Authorities said a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when a southbound Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck turned left into a private driveway to go back northbound. The driver had been picking up tree limbs that were being cut away from power lines. The motorcycle then rear-ended the Chevrolet, ejecting the rider.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
