Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Hwy 281 near Mineral Wells

One Killed in Mineral Wells Motorcycle Crash on U.S. Highway 281

Mineral Wells, Texas (September 21, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday night in a head-on collision, 10 miles south of Mineral Wells, troopers said.

The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m., September 20, on U.S. Highway 281.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling southbound on the highway when it crossed the center stripe into the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dodge driver and a passenger were taken to Palo Pinto General Hospital with unknown injuries.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
