Rider Dies, 1 Hospitalized after Harris County Motorcycle Accident on FM 1960
Harris County, Texas (May 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed and one other person was hospitalized Thursday night after a traffic accident in Harris County, authorities said.
The deadly crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16 on FM 1960.
According to the authorities, a woman was driving a Jeep eastbound on FM 1960 when she tried to make a U-turn into the westbound lane. In the process, the Jeep collided with a motorcycle that was traveling westbound.
The rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been identified pending notification of family.
The Jeep driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
