Naomi Harry, Blake Garza Killed in Two-Car Crash at Spur 327 and Milwaukee Avenue in Lubbock; Anthony Washington Arrested

Lubbock, Texas – Two people were killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash in West Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 9:52 p.m., March 27, at the intersection of Spur 327 and Milwaukee Avenue.

Police said 20-year-old Blake Garza was driving a passenger car eastbound in the 6500 block of Spur 327 on the eastbound access road while 30-year-old Anthony Washington was driving an SUV southbound in the 6000 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

The vehicles collided at the intersection.

Garza was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries where he was later pronounced dead. A passenger in the car, 18-year-old Naomi Harry, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Washington was arrested and charged with two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter and one count of Resisting Arrest. He was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
