Narciso Mejia Gutierrez Killed in North Austin Pedestrian Accident on Northgate Boulevard

Austin, Texas (December 31, 2020) – The pedestrian who was fatally hit by a car earlier this month in North Austin has been identified as Narciso Mejia Gutierrez, 65, according to police.

The accident happened around 7:00 p.m., December 18, in the 9027 block of Northgate Boulevard.

Police said Gutierrez was walking across the street heading eastbound when he was struck by a northbound black 2017 Honda Civic.

Gutierrez was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

The police are investigating the crash.
