Narendrakumar Bhikhabh Bhakta ID’d as Person Killed in Callahan County Crash on SH 36 near Abilene
Callahan County, Texas (April 25, 2019) – The person who was killed Tuesday evening in a traffic accident in Callahan County has been identified as Narendrakumar Bhikhabh Bhakta, 58 of Cross Plains, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The tragic crash took place at about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 on SH 36, just southeast of Abilene.
Authorities said Bhakta was driving eastbound on SH 36 when his car hydroplaned and crossed the center median. The vehicle then struck a big rig.
Bhakta was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the rig was treated at the crash site and released.
No other details were immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
