Natalie Brown Dies Nearly 2 Weeks after Wichita Falls Crash on Old Iowa Park Road

Wichita Falls, Texas (August 5, 2022) – Authorities have identified the passenger who died Thursday, nearly two weeks after a head-on crash in Wichita Falls as Natalie Joe Brown, 58, of Wichita Falls.

The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m., July 22, in the 2700 block of Old Iowa Park Road.

Police said a GMC Terrain was traveling eastbound in the left lane while a Kia Sportage was heading westbound in the left lane.

The Kia tried to pass a truck in front of it using the center turn lane. The Kia continued into the eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with the GMC.

Brown, who was a passenger in the GMC, suffered broken bones and internal injuries and was placed in the ICU at United Regional. On Thursday, August 4, her condition deteriorated and she succumbed to her injuries.

The Kia driver, a 58-year-old woman, sustained a broken wrist and ribs. The GMC driver, a 57-year-old man, sustained a fractured ankle.

The police are investigating the crash.
