Nicholas Granados Dallas Fire Medic Hurt in Fatal Crash at West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road

Nicholas Granados Medic Injured in Fatal Dallas Accident at West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road

Dalla, Texas (February 12, 2019) – The Dallas Fire-Rescue officer who was injured in a crash that left one person dead early Sunday morning in Dallas has been identified as Nicholas Granados, 29, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at the intersection of West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday, February 10.
The authorities said 28-year-old Luis Cabrera was driving a pickup southbound on North Westmoreland Road when he allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a fire truck heading west on West Davis Street.
Cabrera was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The driver of the fire truck was hospitalized for his injuries and was later released.
Granados was the second occupant of the fire truck and was also hospitalized  He remained at the hospital as of Monday being treated for a fractured rib, a collapsed lung and multiple bruises, cuts and scratches.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
