Nicole Salazar, Trina Crump Killed in Head-On Crash on SH 130 in Guadalupe County

Nicole Salazar and Trina Crump Victims in Fatal Guadalupe County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 130

Guadalupe County, Texas (November 12, 2019) – Two people were killed and another was injured early Saturday morning in a fiery head-on collision in Guadalupe County, according to the DPS.

The deadly crash occurred at about 1:10 a.m. November 9, on State Highway 130 near milepost 487.

DPS said Nicole Salazar, 25, of Bastrop, was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup northbound in the southbound lane of the highway when she crashed head-on into a southbound Chrysler 300 driven by Trina Crump, 45, of San Antonio.

The impact caused the Ford to veer off and catch fire.

Salazar and Crump were both declared dead at the scene.

A 61-year-old female passenger in the Chrysler was taken to South Austin Medical Center in an unknown condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
