Nodal Aoki Killed in Montgomery County Plane Crash near Linwood and Elm Street

Montgomery County, Texas (October 27, 2020) – Two people were killed in a plane crash early Sunday morning in Montgomery County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 8:40 a.m., October 25, near Linwood and Elm Street.

Authorities said the single-engine aircraft, a Grumman AA-5A Cheetah, which has four seats, crashed in a wooded area in Woodbranch.

The pilot, Nodal Aoki, 41, of Porter, and his passenger, Karthik Balakrishnan, 46, of Pearland, were killed in the crash.

Balakrishnan was an associate professor of accounting at Rice University.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
