Noe Cortez Killed, 3 Injured in South Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Second Avenue at Bruton Road

Dallas, Texas (November 6, 2019) – One person was killed and three others were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in South Dallas, a local news source reported.

The fatal crash happened around 7:10 p.m. on November 4, in the area of Second Avenue and Bruton Road.

According to police, witnesses said a 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan was heading northbound on Second Avenue when it attempted to turn left onto Bruton Road and collided with a speeding 2013 Chevrolet Cruze.

The force of the impact pushed the van across the intersection, where it came to rest in the southwest corner while the Cruze spun around and came to rest in the eastbound lanes of Bruton Road.

Noe Cortez, 48, who was a passenger in the van, was taken to Baylor University Medical Center, where they later died.

Both drivers and a passenger in the Cruze were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
