Officer, 2 Wrecker Drivers Injured in Crash on Hidalgo in Galleria 

Officer and Two Wrecker Drivers Injured in Galleria Crash on Hidalgo

Galleria, Texas (March 19, 2022) – An HPD officer and two wrecker drivers were injured early Friday morning in a crash in Galleria, according to the police.

The crash happened around 3:00 a.m., on March 18, in the 4900 block of Hidalgo.

Police said a Honda Accord hit a wall, and then a Jeep crashed into that scene. Another Honda lost control while coming off southbound 610 at the Richmond exit and struck the responding officer and a wrecker. 

The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Jeep driver was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They might have been under the influence.

The two wrecker drivers sustained minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.

An investigation is underway.
