Officer and Civilian Injured in Houston Crash on North Freeway at Shepherd
Houston, Texas (April 4, 2019) – An officer and a driver were injured in a traffic collision early Wednesday morning in Houston, police said.
The crash happened at about 5:00 a.m., April 3, on the North Freeway at Shepherd.
Police said the Houston police motorcycle officer was riding to work when they collided with a car for unknown reasons.
The officer suffered minor injuries while the car driver was taken to a hospital with back pain.
The freeway was shut down for about 30 to 45 minutes following the crash.
An investigation is underway.
