Officer Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Antoine and 290

Houston, Texas (July 27, 2019) – A Houston police officer was injured in a DUI crash Saturday morning in northwest Houston, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred in the area of Antoine and 290.

Officials said the officer was responding to an accident at the intersection when he was hit by an alleged drunk driver.

A fire truck and tow truck were blocking the initial scene when the drunk driver crashed into them and then the officer.

The impact caused the officer to hit his head on the asphalt. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The drunk driver was arrested.

The crash remains under investigation.
