Police Officer Injured in Killeen Two-Vehicle Crash at Trimmier Road and Stan Schlueter Loop; Tajuan Carvell Brooks Arrested

Killeen, Texas (March 6, 2021) – A police officer was injured Thursday night in a hit-and-run crash in Killeen, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 9:25 p.m., March 4, at the intersection of Trimmier Road and Stan Schlueter Loop.

Authorities said a Killeen police sergeant was driving northbound on Trimmier Road when they entered the intersection with a green light. 

Tajuan Carvell Brooks, 43, was driving a stolen Dodge Charger westbound on Stan Schlueter Loop when he ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the patrol unit.

The sergeant sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Brooks fled the scene after the crash. He was later found and arrested for a false report to a police officer. He was being held at the Killeen City Jail and has been charged with an accident involving injury-fail to stop and render aid.

The crash remains under investigation.
