One Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash on I-35 in South Austin

One Injured in South Austin Four-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (January 15, 2021) – One person was injured in a four-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in South Austin, according to officials.

The crash happened just after 2:00 p.m., January 14, in the 6200 block of South Interstate 35, between East William Cannon Drive and East Stassney Lane.

Authorities said four vehicles collided, for unknown reasons, on the interstate.

One person was pinned in one of the vehicles and had to be extricated. The victim was taken to St. David’s South with potentially serious injuries.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area.

The crash remains under investigation.
