One Injured in El Paso Fire Truck Crash near Gateway East and Eastside Road

El Paso, Texas (July 24, 2020) – One person was injured Thursday afternoon in a traffic collision involving a fire truck in El Paso, according to authorities.

The crash happened around 3:56 p.m., July 23, near the intersection of Gateway East and Eastside Road.

According to the El Paso Fire Department, the crash involved an EPFD fire truck and an SUV.

It’s unclear if the fire truck was responding to a call or if it was returning to the station.

One person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
