One Injured in Truck Crash on I-10 in Orange

Driver Injured in Orange Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Orange, Texas (August 19, 2020) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash Monday evening in Orange, according to DPS.

The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m., August 17, on I-10 near the Simmons overpass.

DPS said an 18-wheeler flipped and drove off the side of the interstate. It dropped several feet down into the opposite traffic lanes. 

A fire truck was stopped near the crash scene when it was struck by a pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

No firefighters were injured.

The crash closed the interstate for several hours as crews cleaned up spilled diesel.

The crash remains under investigation.
