One Injured in Lufkin Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 59 at John Means Road

Lufkin, Texas (June 21, 2021) – One person was injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Lufkin, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 9:37 p.m., June 18, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 south and John Means Road.

DPS said a Buick Lacrosse was stopped at the stop sign on John Means when it failed to yield the right of way to a 2010 Mack truck tractor and flatbed trailer, resulting in a collision.

One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
