One Killed in RV Crash on U.S. 190 near Heidenheimer

One Killed in Heidenheimer Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 190 near Pritchard Road

Heidenheimer, Texas (October 24, 2020) – One person was killed in a head-on collision Friday morning between Heidenheimer and Rogers south of Temple, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:20 a.m., October 23, on U.S. 190 near Pritchard Road.

DPS said a Jeep was traveling westbound on the highway when the driver lost control, crossed into the eastbound lanes, and crashed head-on into a Winnebago RV.

The RV crashed into a power pole after the collision.

Both vehicles came to rest near the Heidenheimer Church of Christ.

The Jeep driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
