One Killed in SE Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on South Loop near Wayside

Houston, Texas (June 19, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in southeast Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m., June 17, on the South Loop near Wayside.

According to the police, witnesses said a Mercedes was speeding and was weaving in and out of traffic when it crashed into a pickup truck.

The pickup driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Mercedes driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
