1 Killed, 1 Critically Injured in Hawkins Two-Vehicle Crash on East Front Street near Pine Street
Hawkins, Texas (October 25, 2019) – One person was killed and another was critically injured in a head-on crash early Friday morning in Hawkins, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash occurred about midnight, in the 300 block of East Front Street near Pine Street.
Police said a 17-year-old was driving a little Fiat westbound when he veered into the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into an 18-wheeler.
An 18-year-old female passenger in the Fiat was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Both had to be extricated from the Fiat.
No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
