One Killed, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 157 and FM 2258 in Venus

Venus, Texas (April 9, 2020) – One person was killed, and two others were injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash at a Venus intersection, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened at about 8:37 p.m. on April 7, at the intersection of FM 157 and FM 2258.

Authorities said two vehicles collided, for unknown reasons, at the intersection.

One of the drivers, a man in his 50s from Grand Prairie, was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released. His passenger and the other driver were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Venus Police Department is investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn’t been contacted by the police department is asked to call 972-366-3647.
