One Seriously Injured in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash at Soncy Road and Pilgrim Drive

Amarillo, Texas (June 30, 2021) – One person was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Amarillo, according to the police.

The crash happened around 2:35 p.m., June 28, at the intersection of Soncy Road and Pilgrim Drive.

Police said a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed on Soncy Road when it struck another vehicle that was pulling off of Pilgrim Drive.

The force of the impact caused the speeding vehicle to roll over, ejecting the driver. The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed all lanes of Soncy Road in both directions.

The police are investigating the crash.
