Oxford “Ox” Foster Killed in Terrell Four-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Terrell, Texas (October 5, 2021) – According to the authorities, a 13-year-old boy was killed Saturday night in a four-vehicle crash in Terrell.

The fatal crash happened around 10:58 p.m., October 2, on Interstate 20, near mile marker 513.

Authorities said a Toyota Highlander was traveling eastbound when it slowed down for traffic due to a previous crash and was rear-ended by an eastbound Black Dodge Ram pick-up truck. The Dodge Ram pick-up truck was then rear-ended by a white Ford F-250. The force of the impact pushed the Highlander into another vehicle.

The rear seat passenger in the Highlander, 13-year-old Oxford “Ox” Foster, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was an 8th grader at Keithville Elementary Middle School. His mother, Teresa Foster, was taken to the hospital with a head injury.

A GoFundMe has been set up to support the mother’s mental and financial needs.

The Dodge driver was taken into custody.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
