Pasadena Police Officer Injured in SE Houston Motorcycle Crash on Almeda Genoa

Houston, Texas (October 11, 2020) – A Pasadena police officer was injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in southeast Houston, according to police.

The crash happened around 12:40 p.m., October 10, in the 6200 block of Almeda Genoa.

Police said the 25-year Pasadena Police Department veteran was riding a motorcycle, and a car was approaching from the opposite direction.

The car then began turning left in front of the motorcycle, and when the officer sounded his siren to alert the car driver, but that driver continued turning into the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.

The officer, who was in uniform at the time of the crash, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment.

The Houston Police Department is investigating the crash.
