Patrick Beck, Leah Beck among Three Killed in Fiery Car Crash on I-20 in Arlington

Patrick Beck and Leah Beck ID’d as Two of Three Killed in Arlington Crash on Interstate 20

Arlington, Texas (June 9, 2019) – Two of the three people who were killed in a DUI fiery crash Thursday night in Arlington have been identified as Patrick Beck, 55, and Leah Beck, 23, of Grand Prairie, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

The fatal crash took place at about 11:00 p.m. June 6, on eastbound Interstate 20, under the South Center Street overpass.

Police said Jose Castro, 29, of Farmers Branch, was heading eastbound on the highway when his vehicle drifted onto the shoulder and hit one of two cars that were parked under the bridge. The impact pushed the car that was hit into the other parked car. The three cars then caught fire.

Two people were standing outside the parked cars, and one was inside. The person inside the car and one of the two outside died at the scene.

Leah was taken to Medical City Arlington, where she later died.

Castro was treated for minor injuries and then booked into jail. He faces three charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.

The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed following the crash.
