Paul Buckley Sachs, Jennifer Kara Ferguson, and Ann Marie Cole Victims in Fatal Denton Crash on I-35W

Denton, Texas (November 12, 2019) – The three people who were killed Friday afternoon in a fiery traffic collision in Denton have been identified as Paul Buckley Sachs, 59, of Fort Worth, Jennifer Kara Ferguson, 30, of Fort Worth and Ann Marie Cole, 63, of Denton, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The fatal crash happened at about 1:30 p.m., November 8, on Interstate 35W near mile marker 84.

Police said the crash involved four passenger vehicles and two 18-wheelers.

One of the trucks that was carrying liquefied petroleum gas exploded.

One of the cars, a sedan, was decimated by the fire with the rubber from the tires completely burned away.

Sachs died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns, while Ferguson and Cole died of blunt-force trauma. 

Three other people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators said speed was a factor in the crash.

The crash closed both directions of Interstate 35W for several hours.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
