One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 610 near Hempstead Road

Houston, Texas (December 4, 2021) – One person was killed Friday evening in a pedestrian accident in northeast Houston, according to Houston police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:20 p.m., December 3, on Interstate 610 near Hempstead Road.

Police said a person was walking on the freeway when they were struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was killed in the accident. Their identity has not been released.

The car driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

Motorists were urged to use alternate routes.

The police are investigating the crash.
