Man Killed in Bastrop Pedestrian Accident on Texas 71

Bastrop, Texas (March 25, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Bastrop, according to the police.
The accident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. March 24, in the 500 block of Texas 71 near Schaefer Boulevard.
Police said a 41-year-old man was trying to cross the eastbound lanes of Texas 71 when he was struck by a vehicle.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
