One Person Killed in Irving Pedestrian Accident at West Irving Station

Irving, Texas (April 27, 2022) – A pedestrian died after being struck by an Amtrak train Tuesday evening in Irving, according to a local news source.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at West Irving Station.

As per the report, the pedestrian was walking across the tracks when they were hit by the train that was traveling from San Antonio to Chicago.

The pedestrian died in the crash. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

None of the 109 passengers and crew on board was injured.

No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
