One Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on SH 71 near ABIA

Austin, Texas (December 19, 2020) – One person was killed early Friday morning in a pedestrian accident in Austin near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, according to police.

The deadly accident happened just after 6:00 a.m., December 18, in the 3000 block of E. SH 71 eastbound near FM 973.

Police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, for unknown reasons, on the highway.

The victim was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

No further details regarding the accident were immediately available.

The police are investigating the crash.
