One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45)

Houston, Texas (September 11, 2020) – According to police, one person was killed in a pedestrian accident Tuesday afternoon in Houston.

The deadly accident happened around 3:40 p.m., September 8, in the 4700 block of Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45).

Police said the pedestrian was attempting to run across the southbound lanes of the freeway when they were struck by a white Nissan NV3500 van.  

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Nissan driver remained at the scene after the accident. He was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

An investigation is underway.
