Harris, Texas (August 16, 2017) – A woman was hit and killed in Southwest Harris County on Tuesday night, according to investigators.
The woman met her death at about 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, on Highway 6 near Beechnut.
It is reported that the woman was headed home from work on foot and attempted to cross   Highway 6 near Beechnut when she was struck by a car.
The woman sustained deadly injuries and was rushed to a local hospital by Life Flight but died on the way.
The driver of the car is assisting investigators on the accident.
