Woman Killed in Gladewater Pedestrian Accident near Mile Post 103
Gladewater, Texas (May 5, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Saturday evening in Gladewater, police said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 6:50 p.m. Saturday, May 4 near Mile Post 103 on the Mineola Subdivision.
According to the police, the adult female pedestrian was hit by a Union Pacific train that was traveling westbound.
The woman, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was declared dead at the scene.
The train crew was unhurt in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
