El Paso, Texas (March 27, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in El Paso early Tuesday morning, according to the El Paso police.
The incident was reported at about 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at State Highway Spur 16 and Doniphan Drive.
Police said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear what the pedestrian was doing when the accident occurred.
The train operator was at the scene and was questioned by the police.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
