Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on North Belt Line Road in Irving; Annie Williams Arrested

One Injured in Irving Pedestrian Accident on North Belt Line Road at Liquor Depot; Annie Williams Arrested

Irving, Texas (June 27, 2021) – According to the police, a pedestrian was injured Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in Irving.

The accident happened around 8:00 p.m., June 25, at the Liquor Depot in the 3500 block of North Belt Line Road.

Police said Annie Williams, 58, had been in a domestic disturbance with a male and she tried to hit him. In doing so, Williams drove into the liquor store.

She then backed up to try and hit him again, but she instead hit a pedestrian and crashed into four parked vehicles.

The pedestrian went to the hospital by herself with a broken ankle.

Williams fled the scene and was later located by a patrol sergeant who attempted a traffic stop. She sped away, leading to a short pursuit with the police to North Story and Rochelle roads. She was then arrested and taken into custody. She was booked into the Irving jail and faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest, DWI, and criminal mischief.

The male who was in the domestic disturbance left the scene and has not been found.

Officers said the liquor store had about $25,000 in damages.

An investigation is underway.
